Senior Portfolio is an advanced level course, the sole purpose of which is to assist the senior design student in preparing and developing his or her portfolio in a coherent and professional presentation—both physical and digital portfolios are created. Secondary emphasis is placed on career planning, preparation of a resume, and discussion of various issues related to a career in visual communication design. The graduating senior class also plans a public design exhibition that is installed in the student gallery by the end of the semester. It is to showcase and celebrate their senior projects and portfolios. This exhibition is critiqued by external design professionals. Standards of professionalism are emphasized during the entire process.
