Students created name tags. Use of creativity to help everyone learn everyone’s name.
Introduced myself and what are aesthetics? The concept of what are one’s aesthetics was introduced to the students. This helped them understand who they are, what they like/dislike and how to take that information and develop designs around the ’self.”
Process:
1. Lecture on aesthetics. Lecture notes.
2. Show Pinterest board “My Aesthetics” to students. This example will help the students understand how to take photos or upload designs that exhibit their aesthetics on the Pinterest board.
3. Use their Aesthetics Handout and Homework to begin the process of documenting their aesthetics.
4. Build their own Pinterest boards. Suggest they build a “secret” board, since it is a social media software.
Issues to resolve:
1. IT issue. Make sure the website, Pinterest, is open and not blocked by the school’s IT dept.
2. Make sure students understand all aspects of aesthetics and what comprises ones’ aesthetics.
3. If language barrier, other students can help in communicating needs of homework.
